Price meter only: The owner model ID is recraftv3. Vector style, recraftv3_vector, image-to-image, inpainting, background operations, upscaling, and Recraft V4 or V4.1 are excluded. Equal prices share a price rank; provider name and offer ID determine only their stable display order.

Configuration-specific buying guide

How to use this Recraft V3 API pricing result

Recraft V3 can produce raster and vector images, and the two outputs have different published prices. This page limits the result to a single raster text-to-image output. fal, Replicate, and WaveSpeedAI each publish four cents, producing a three-way tie. The vector rate is not averaged into the table and a cheaper utility operation is not treated as image generation.

The exact model is recraftv3 in Recraft's API documentation. Recraft V4 and V4.1 are now available, but newer family members do not erase V3 demand or inherit its evidence. Likewise, a provider route named recraft-v3 must still be checked for raster output rather than a vector or editing variant before its price can enter this scope.

The providers expose different aspect-ratio and size controls, so provider-default pixels are not presented as equal image quality. The price meter is flat per reviewed raster output, while resolution, latency, style behavior, text accuracy, safety controls, retention, and support remain outside the rank.

What changes the real cost

  • Raster and vector generation use separate model variants and separate per-image prices.
  • Output count, aspect ratio, provider size controls, and retries determine the number of billable images.
  • Image-to-image, inpainting, outpainting, background work, and upscaling are separate operations.
  • Human typography checks, brand review, storage, delivery, and failed creative iterations add real workflow cost.

Checks before production

  • Pin recraftv3 or the exact hosted V3 route and prohibit fallback to V2, V4, or a vector model.
  • Set raster style, aspect ratio, output count, and format explicitly instead of inheriting a changing dashboard default.
  • Validate prompt and output bounds before submission, then expose provider errors with the request ID.
  • Store model ID, style, dimensions, output count, terminal state, and charged images beside each asset.

Brand illustration batches

The tied per-image meter is a baseline. Compare prompt adherence, text rendering, style consistency, and manual rejection rate using your real brand brief.

Editable vector assets

Use the V3 vector price and model route. A raster ranking cannot estimate an SVG deliverable even when the prompt is identical.

Image editing pipelines

Inpainting and image-to-image have their own inputs and billing descriptions. Keep those operations separate in both cost logs and retry policy.

Public methodology

How an offer enters the ranking

  1. The observation passed APIDir's accepted evidence and publication-permission gates and retains an official first-party source.
  2. Its offer identity, provider channel, route, and tier are explicitly included after configuration review.
  3. Its freshness label is fresh and its fresh-until time has not passed.
  4. The model, billing unit, region, and every reviewed comparison field match the group definition.
  5. At least three unique providers qualify; otherwise APIDir publishes no order, cheapest claim, or spread.
  6. Prices sort low to high. Equal prices share a rank; provider name, then offer ID, controls only stable display order.

Questions developers ask

When does APIDir publish a cheapest provider?

Only when at least three unique providers have accepted, publication-permitted, fresh observations for the same model and billing meter, with every route and material configuration field explicitly reviewed.

What happens to stale or quarantined prices?

They are excluded from ranking order. Historical evidence may remain auditable elsewhere, but it cannot support a current winner or savings claim.

Does the first row mean the provider is best overall?

No. The order covers the displayed price meter only and does not score quality, speed, uptime, limits, support, legal terms, or total production cost.
